Hello, my name is Ben Fisher but most of my friends know me as GB.  I live in Minnesota with my wonderful wife and have a child on the way.  I grew up in Wisconsin and went to college in Minnesota where I received a bachelor of arts from St Johns University, mastering in physics and minoring in math.  I then went to the University of Minnesota and got a degree in mechanical engineering.  Some activities I enjoy are playing ultimate, coaching ultimate, playing disc golf, reading, and playing video games.

I played ultimate in college for St John’s University, Friar Huck and I was the coach of Cretin-Derham Hall’s ultimate team, Raging Safari from 2003-2009.

Some of my favorite video games are: Techno Bowl for Ninetendo and Super Ninetendo (best football game ever), Wii Tennis (I like to think I am pretty good), Mortal Kombat (though I was never that great at this game, I enjoyed all of the secrets and the fatalities), Fable I and II (though the second game was not that great, I like the concept of the series), Assassins Creed I and II (I still have not started the second one, where does the time go), and Call of Duty (like them all, though MW2 is plagued with issues; looking forward to Black Ops).  I am part of a gaming community called “The Outlaw Army” (TOA for short), there is a link t their website on the home page.  Feel free to stop by and say hi if you are interested in being part of a mature gaming community.  Expect me to have a blog or two sometime in the future about TOA.

Some of my favorite books are: Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Harry Potter Series, Inheritance Cycle (best known for the move Eragon), Quiet Strength (Tony Dungy’s “biography”), and Frankenstein.  One thing I have to admit, once I open a book I have a hard time putting it down.

I am Roman Catholic, born and raised.  I enjoy being Catholic, though I may not agree at all times with the Pope and his actions.  I think what I like the most about being Catholic is the community and the mass.  I enjoy praying with the community and having the opportunity to thank God for all he has done for me and my family while also being able to seek God’s help with the daily struggles of my life.

I will probably add more to this little “bio” as time goes on, but I am hoping this gives enough insight on who I am for you to enjoy what I have to say.

Have a good day!
